Q. What is Complexion Protection™?
A. Complexion Protection™ features in Bondi Sands Sunny Face products. It helps to maintain calm, clear skin and won't compromise the skin barrier or cause breakouts. The dermatologically tested formulas are oil free & non comedogenic with a lightweight and breathable texture, ensuring your pores aren’t clogged.
Q. When should I use Sunny?
A. Sunny is best used in the morning & for top ups throughout the day. During your morning beauty routine, use a Sunny SPF product after you’ve applied your last skincare product, but before you’ve applied any makeup.
Q. How often should I reapply Sunny?
A. Sunscreen should be applied liberally and evenly 20 minutes before sun exposure and should be reapplied every two hours, or more often when sweating and after swimming, exercise or towel drying.
Q. Is Sunny suitable for sensitive skin and/or blemish-prone skin?
A. Yes! All Sunny products have been formulated to be suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. They’re oil free, dermatologically tested and non comedogenic. Plus, our Sunny Face products all contain our innovative Complexion Protection™ to help maintain calm, clear skin and won’t clog your pores. However, if you’re ever unsure if you can use a product, it’s best to consult with your doctor or dermatologist.
Q. Can I wear Sunny Face Serum with makeup?
A. Yes! Sunny layers seamlessly under makeup. We’d suggest applying Sunny Cream SPF 50+ Face Lotion or Sunny Drops SPF 50+ Face Serum as the final step in your skincare routine, or the first step in your makeup routine.
Q. How are Bondi Sands SPF products tested & regulated?
A. All of our products undergo rigorous testing processes to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations. We work closely with our manufacturer and testing partners to ensure all product claims are substantiated with robust testing and evidence, including validated SPF, broad spectrum, and water-resistant testing.
Due to the sunny Australian environment, sunscreen is classified as a therapeutic product and is heavily regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), which has much higher standards and regulations than anywhere else in the world. The TGA is responsible for ensuring the quality of all therapeutic products and all products must undergo regular product quality reviews including validated SPF, broad spectrum and water-resistant testing to support all product claims.
